Requirements to install macOS Mojave 10.14 on VirtualBox–
- A 64 bit windows running PC. Windows 10 or 8 is preferred.
- Minimum 8GB RAM and SSD drive is recommended.

- Latest version of Virtual Box for windows host – Download.

Guide to install macOS Mojave 10.14 on VirtualBox in Windows –
Step 1 –
Download and the latest version of virtual box from the given link and install it on your windows pc. It allows to run two operating systems on your pc without dual boot. You can install macOS Mojave 10.14 on virtualbox following this guide.
Step 2 –
Now you’ll need to download macOS Mojave 10.14 virtual image file from the provided links. After downloading, now you’ve to extract the file. You may use winrar, 7zip or any other extracting software whatever you want. To extract, right click the downloaded macOS Mojave 10.14 virtual image file and choose “Extract to macOS Mojave 10.14“. It’ll extract the file within few minutes on your pc.
Step 3 –
Open up vitualbox, and click on the “New” button from the top left corner of the window. To install macOS Mojave 10.14 on virtual box, we’ll need to create virtual machine on the virtual box. So on the next screen you’ll get a popup window. In the name field type “macOS 10.14 Mojave“, don’t change or use any other name in the virtual machine name box, or you’ll need to modify the code. Then type “mac OS X” and in the version select “macOS 10.3 High Sierra (64-bit)“. After tap, click on Next.
Step 4 –

On the next screen, it will ask you to select memory size or RAM in megabytes. I’ll recommend you to choose 50% of the amount of installed RAM. For an example, if you’ve 8GB RAM installed on your PC, then in the virtual box select 4GB or 4096MB. Then hit next.
Step 5 –
Install Virtualbox On Mac
Now on the next screen, you’ve to create a virtual hard drive. So choose “Use an existing virtual hard disk file” and click on the folder icon beside that. Browse and select the macOS 10.14 Mojave virtual hard disk file that you’ve downloaded and click create. This setup will create virtual machine for our use to install macOS 10.14 Mojave on virtualbox.
Step 6 –
The virtual machine has been created, and now we’ve to edit the settings to install macOS Mojave 10.14 on virtualbox. From the virtual box, click on “Settings” tab. Go to the system> motherboard tab, choose base memory size 4096MB. In boot order, tick on optical and hard disk. Select chipset ICH9 and in pointing device select USB Tablet. And in the extended features, enable all the options. Make sure the final settings look like this as in the image below.
Step 7 –

Step 8 –
Head towards display tab. Change the video memory size to 128MB, set monitor count to 1 and in scale factor choose 100%. From acceleration, disable the following options “enable 3D acceleration” and “enable 2D video acceleration”.
Step 9 –
This one is the most important step to install macOS Mojave 10.14 on virtual box. Missing this will make macOS 10.14 not booting. Tap on the storage tab, and turn on “use host IO cache”. Now click on save and it’ll save and apply the following settings.
Step 10 –
From the USB tab, choose USB 3.0 (xHCI) controller and hit OK button. Save it. Otherwise mouse and keyboard will not work in macOS 10.14 Mojave on virtualbox.
Step 11 –
Run command prompt with administrator privileges. To do this, go to search bar and type CMD. Right click on command prompt and select run as administrator.
Copy and paste the downloaded code into command prompt window and hit enter. That’s all, you’re ready to run macOS 10.14 Mojave on virtualbox.
Step 12 –
Open up virtual box, and select start. It may take a few minutes to boot macOS 10.14 Mojave. Now create a new account and set it up. And that’s all, now you’ve successfully installed macOS Mojave 10.14 on virtual box. Now you’re ready to play with the latest OS.
