Quicken Files To Quickbooks
Oct 25, 2018 To convert a Quicken file into a QuickBooks Online company file. Convert your Quicken file into a.csv file. Note: If you are not sure on how to convert the Quicken data into a.csv file, you may contact Quicken support for further assistance. Import your.csv file into QuickBooks Online. I know a way you can convert the file to QBSE and I'd be happy to share it with you. At this time, we don't have a direct way to convert your Quicken file to QBSE. If your company has been using Quicken but is transitioning to QuickBooks, you don't have to lose your important Quicken data. The QuickBooks program features a conversion tool through which you can convert your Quicken files for use in QuickBooks. Intuit also offers a free program called Quicken Converter through which you can convert Quicken files so that they can be opened in QuickBooks.
In Quickbooks
1.Launch QuickBooks, click the 'File' menu, and then click 'Utilities.'
2.Import Quicken File To Quickbooks Online
Highlight 'Convert,' and then select 'From Quicken' to launch the conversion dialog.
3.Browse to the location on your computer where your Quicken QDF file is stored, double-click it, and then follow the onscreen prompts on the conversion dialog to convert your Quicken file.
Quicken Converter
1.Download the Quicken Converter from Intuit's website (link in Resources).
2.Launch the downloaded Quicken Converter file, click 'Next,' click 'I Accept the terms in the license agreement,' and then click 'Next' again.
3.Click 'Next Install Launch Quicken Converter Finish.'
4.Click the 'I am transferring data from Quicken for Windows' radio button, and then click 'Get Started.'
5.Click the 'Open a data file located on this computer' radio button, and then click the 'Select File' button.

6.Browse to the location on your computer where the Quicken file is stored, and then double-click it.
7.Click 'Convert it,' followed by 'OK,' and then click 'Save' to save your converted file.
Warnings
- To convert Quicken files in QuickBooks, the version of QuickBooks to which you are converting must be newer than the version of Quicken. You can't, for example, convert from Quicken 2010 to QuickBooks 2009.
- You may need to fine-tune your Quicken data after importing it into QuickBooks (see Resources).

If you have decided to upgrade from the user-friendly Quicken application to the more complex but fully featured QuickBooks accounting program, transferring your information is seamless using the built-in conversion tools provided in the QuickBooks software. Once you have downloaded and installed QuickBooks, you can run the conversion utility and select the file you want to transfer to your new program.
Step 1
Start QuickBooks. Select the 'File' menu and choose 'Utilities.' Click 'Convert' and select 'From Quicken' or choose 'Convert From Quicken' if you are using QuickBooks 2005 and older.
Step 2
Click the 'Browse' button and find your Quicken .qdf file. Click 'Next.' Select your QuickBooks product from the list and change the filename or location if desired and click 'Next.'
Step 3
Choose 'Lists and Transactions (Including Historical Transactions)' if you want to convert all of your lists and transactions from Quicken or select 'Lists Only' if you only want to convert lists from Quicken. Click 'Next.'
Step 4
Review your selections. Click the 'Back' button if you need to make any changes or click 'Start' to begin the conversion. Click 'Finish' when the process is complete.
Import Quicken Files To Quickbooks
Step 5
Repeat the conversion process to convert your Quicken .qel, .qph and .idx files.
